Here is that drawing I made while things were drying. Not a reproducable image by any means, but it's as good as you get.

Day 6: Shootout at Tocqueville

Nearing the gates of the Tocqueville Pen, there is a terrific shootout! Everyone missed their target. Even the knife victim was spared. Oh! Rapturous Day! Peace reigns.

I wish it could read more like..."a man in a banana suit performing fake kung-fu moves in a tavern." Maybe that is a better fit for the first painting.

***I should add that these narrative vignettes aren't driving the paintings, but will eventually play a role after the paintings are made. Maybe. Depends on if some other things fall into place.***

Day 5: Re-Apprehension

He takes flight into the hills upon realizing that his second sacrifice is rejected by authorities. As the Law approaches we see Our Man in repose, exhausted after some light gun-play and a Ballantine, wondering whose favor he must placate for acceptance.

*** For continuity the tone of "Day 4" should be considered more of a sacrifice narrative rather than malicious arson.

Day 4: Arson! (Fun with "Translators")

After days on the run, subsisting on lichens and the leaden water bubbling from the ground; our hero finds himself delirious and committing reckless acts against the nation's pastime. He maintains that he was merely reaching out to snag a routine fly ball and that it was, in fact, the bird's nest that ignited the match in his hand. The case remains open to this day.

He is apprehended for his behavior and taken in to the "holdin' shed" by local authorities.

He is disgraced.

Expulsion From the Green Derby

He is expelled from his favorite watering hole for belligerence. Veuve Clicquot sends him into rages. Must be the bubbles. The Barkeep rejected his payment of screws, a button and other miscellany.
