I am away on the next two paintings. I basically have everything where it needs to go on the "arson" painting, but the "battle royale" painting (study pictured) is giving me the business. That figure on the left simply does not fit into the painting. I would also argue that he doesn't fit into the study either. But he really doesn't fit in this painting. I tried crazy stuff like the hand of God holding a rifle...which gives me an idea! For the moment though, it is an odd little piece of landscape, - complete with craggy cliff - looking out to the watery horizon. When in doubt, make a landscape, or, a bay with sailboats I always say.
