Image in the Post-Age of Digital Reproduction

The comments from the previous post got me thinking about Walter Benjamin. Particularly notions of "honesty" in images. Is there ever an honest image? Or are images always is a position of re-presenting something, so they are a step removed from the item that they aim to represent? Like the fidelity of a mixtape.

I meant to post some new progress images today, but ... you know how it is. Tomorrow! I promise. Tomorrow.
