Park It!

Here is Tomma Abts. I have been thinking about this image for about a week. I am slowly being seduced by it. Or a reproduction of it anyway. It has a lot to do with the apparent editing in the paint layers and a clearly "arrived at" logic. And that it is gloriously reprinted in Parkett No. 84.

Somewhere in this article (pg. 22) there is a reference to the current state of painting being "mindless and representational" and Abts' place as "idiosyncratic". I thought this wasn't even an issue for anyone any longer.
