Hartigan Again (1922-2008)

I was feeling a little down yesterday, and was tooling through the Smithsonian American Art Museum when, without warning, I was immediately swept up by the above Grace Hartigan painting.

I realized I never posted a proper "In Memoriam" about her. Though I suppose that thinking about something other than myself for several minutes is a pretty good memorial.

Then I went home and made collages. Seemed like the right thing to do.
