Blake Gopnik writes in today's Washington Post about Rodney Graham and a cheeky little piece called "The Gifted Amateur, November 10, 1962, " saying that it isn't only mocking of Morris Louis. It's an homage?!
I don't entirely agree. I do think that DC will probably band together into a Super Institution in order to crush Rodney Graham and his affront to the "Washington Color-School".
"You'll never work in this town again, buddy! Ruining our myths like that! You should be ashamed!"
I have mentioned my love for Mr. Graham have I not?
