A reader, whose birthday it was yesterday, sent me a note about a Larry Day show at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia.
Larry Day's paintings are within the great figurative tradition of Jean Helion, Gabriel Ladderman, Ewan Uglow which is tremendously seductive and inspiring.
I immediately thought that I need some cowboys hanging out on a porch. Not stabbing next time, but just having a beer and a burger. We'll see. I think they have a lot more killing in them. But I digress...
