I should have, but didn't, post an image of the Giotto painting that I was talking about. Here it is with a top to bottom comparison.
I also neglected to mention that I only intend to re-imagine the "Scenes From The Life of Joachim" fresco cycle. There are six 72"x72" panels, which is a challenging, but manageable, project for me.
Whew! I feel a lot better now that that is cleared up.
